True that statement.
When you think about it, even I can find a silver lining around an event as traumatic as the injury of my wrist.
If you want to think of the bad points, sure you can always say, oh you really missed out on practising, etc.... But in the long run, I think I learnt a lot from that experience. Now I'm more sensitive of my hand position. More aware of my attack, am I stretching my fingers too much? Are my hands in a natural position? Is there a better, more efficient or less stressful way of playing this? Not only am I aware for myself, I am more alert for my students also....
And I guess that experience makes me a better pianist and teacher .....
